Most big American festivals happen somewhere you have to drive to. This one happens in a park with a skyline behind it.
Lollapalooza 2026 dates
July 30 to August 2, 2026, in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois — four days, now past.
Next year
Dates for 2027 are not published yet. When the festival announces them, they go here.
A city-centre festival is a different proposition from a desert or a farm: you sleep in a hotel, you eat in restaurants, and the day ends by a curfew the neighbours negotiated. That makes it the easiest of the big American festivals to attend badly — people underestimate how far Grant Park is end to end, and how much of the line-up runs at the same time.
