Brooklyn's winter light trail returns. Lightscape opens at Brooklyn Botanic Garden on November 20, 2026, and runs until January 3, 2027: an evening walk through the garden lit by installations, with timed entry.
Prices
Tickets are priced by night, in three tiers. Adults: $29 on value nights, $39 off-peak and $44 peak. Children 3 to 11: $15, $22 and $28. Garden members pay $29, $33 and $37 for adults and $15, $17 and $20 for children. Under 3s go free.
Special nights
Two evenings are for 21 and over: December 10 and 17. Two are sensory-friendly, with entry at 4pm, on December 3 and 18. The garden's Family Benefit night is December 8.
Rules worth knowing
Entry is timed. Tickets cannot be refunded, but can be exchanged for $10. The trail opens in all weather; if a night is cancelled, the garden says so before 2pm that day.
The same season
The Holiday Train Show fills the other botanical garden, in the Bronx, and the Rockefeller Center tree is lit on December 2.
The price tier is the night, not the seat, so the cheapest Lightscape is the same walk on a value night: a family of two adults and two children pays $88 on a value night and $144 on a peak one. Buy for the night you can actually make, since a change costs $10 a ticket and there are no refunds. With small children, the sensory-friendly evenings start at 4pm, early enough to be home for bedtime.
